King Island is part of the State of Tasmania, situated at the western entrance of the Bass Strait, midway between Victoria and Cape Grim on northwest Tasmania. It is 64 km from north to south and 26 km from east to west, and is approximately 110,000 ha.

The Island is at 144º longtitude East and latitude 40º South, placing it in the path of the “Roaring Forties”, a strong prevailing westerly wind. With a total population of approximately 1,600, it is home to some of the most delicious beef and cheese in Australia; and of course, Cloud Juice.

Tea Trees are native to King Island and provide nesting sites for a variety of birds.
